Why Your Printer Doesn't Always Need a New Drum
Toner and drum don't wear out at the same speed. The toner cartridge runs dry after a few thousand pages. The drum — the part that transfers toner onto paper — can last tens of thousands of pages, often outlasting three or four toner cartridges. That's why many printers, including Brother models, keep them separate: so you only replace what's actually worn out. Less waste, lower running costs. Next time your toner runs out, check before you buy a new drum.
